History of the company

In 2009, Doctor Liu of SCUT and his Master student Hu Changpeng, successfully developed the first domestic high accuracy rogowski coil in China. In the same year, they funded SHANGHAI PINYAN TECHNOLOGY M&C CO.,LTD in Cao Hei Jing, an Emerging Technology Development Zone in ShangHai.

In 2010, the first domestic semi-automatic Rogowski coil precision winding machine was  developed in MEATROL.

In 2011, the member of R&D team expanded to 5. They developed integrator with 1A/5A output matching with rogowski coils, becoming the second manufacturer for current output integrator in the world at that time.

In 2012, developed the first domestic multifunctional power meter and power analyzer which are able to be directly connected with rogowski coils in China.

In 2013, all types of rogowski coils and integrator had widely covered about 90% applications, including thunder and lightning test, pulse current measurement, power meter, power monitoring, electric vehicle, relay protection, precision current measurement, harmonic measurement,power quality analyzer, wind power generation, welding, electroplating, frequency conversion, leakage protection, etc.

In 2015, MEATROL independently developed 10 pieces of fully-automatic winding machine for Rogowski coils and imported many calibration equipment with high accuracy which had extremely improved capacity and accuracy.And the capacity had reached 20k pieces per month.

In 2017, double layer winding was developed which means that China winding technology has made a major breakthrough. The ratio of rogowski coil up to 100mV/kA, and accuracy was huge improved. All of processes are independently accomplished by MEATROL, successfully developing rogowski coil with the smallest window size 16mm in the world.

In 2018, MEATROL fully upgraded calibration system to electronic acquisition with real-time comparison, disrupted the traditional calibration.This system certificated as 0.1% accuracy by Shanghai Electric Power Research Institute,so that complies the qualification of 0.5S transformer manufacturer.

In 2019, the quantity of fully-automatic winding machine quantity is more than 30 pieces, and capacity reach 100k per month. Annual sale of rogowski coil already is No.1 in China.

In 2020, successfully developed 1A/5A integrator with 5 selectable rated current and 333mV/kA rogowski coils with high sensitivity.This coil has been

Qualified in medium voltage smart connector standard by Italy power grid(ENEL).
